Cradles

Cradles generally involve getting the diabolo to a point where it is balancing on multiple bits of the string to form a sort of cradle.

These are the basic cradles.

TRAPEZE CRADLE
GHOST CRADLE
FINGER HOOK CRADLE

1st i'll teach is the trapeze cradle. There are multiple types of making this cradle but i'll tell you the most easiest way of doing it.

TRAPEZE CRADLE

1. Do a waterfall/left trapeze.

2. Put your right stick into the loop.

3. Pull your right stick away (from left stick) a little and fling it into the air.

4. Catch the diabolo on the "X".

5. To release, point your both sticks to the floor.

Next, the ghost cradle.

GHOST CRADLE

1. Do a left backside and put your right stick over to your left.

2. Put your right stick through the loop of strings to form a cradle.

3. Throw the diabolo up into the crossed strings. It should disappear.

4. Throw the diabolo up with crossed hands and catch to remove the twist in the strings.

Lastly, the finger hook cradle.

FINGER HOOK CRADLE

1. Put your left stick under your right stick and then place both sticks in your right hand, so the string is over the left stick.

2. Grab the left part of the string and hold the string against the left stick with your index finger. Then put the left stick back into your left hand.

3. Put your right stick into the triangle of string below the left stick and return it to its normal position.

4. Then, let go of the hooked string with your left hand.

5. Throw the diabolo up and the cradle will disappear then catch the diabolo.

After you have done that, time for the ADVANCED cradles.

ECHO'S MYSTERY CRADLE
REINVENTING THE EIFFEL TOWER
HALF SPAGHETTI CRADLE

First, echo's mystery cradle.

ECHO'S MYSTERY CRADLE

1. Do a left inverse trapeze.

2. Unhook your right stick from under the diabolo.

3. Hook your right stick around the nearest part of the left-hand string hanging hown and pull the stick back to the right. It should be a kind of trapeze.

4. With good timing, you should throw the diabolo up through the strings above it.

5. Catch the diabolo.

Next the eiffel tower thingy.

REINVENTING THE EIFFEL TOWER

1. Do a left trapeze, but instead of catching the diabolo back on the string, allow it to miss the string and hang down.

2. Move your left stick to your right hand. Place your left hand (thumb up) above the diabolo inside the triangle of string.

3. Point your sticks downwards so the string falls off the left stick. Now move your hand around the diabolo anti-clockwise and do hand orbits around the diabolo (as many as you want to).

4. With your hand above the diabolo, turn your hand around and grab the tangled string so your fingers are looped around it. Now turn your hand around (anti-clockwise) so your palm is facing downwards.

5. Place both sticks through the gap you created. Now you can let go of the string with your left hand and grab the left stick with it (so both sticks are in correct hands).

6. Using your three outside fingers, grab each of the hanging strings with the hand from the opposite stick and just hold it against the stick. Then throw the diabolo up onto the top 'X' of the string.

7. Throw the diabolo in the air, slide the string off the sticks, and catch the diabolo again.

Lastly, the half spaghetti cradle. Everyone likes spaghetti, right?

HALF SPAGHETTI CRADLE

1. Do a half spaghetti.

2. Put your right stick through the triangle of string below the left stick. Get your sticks back in a normal position.

3. Throw the diabolo out of the strings to the right of the sticks. Then catch it.
